Meghan Brewer
Meghan Brewer
At 14, Meghan began working at the local sawmill that her father Rob was running. Sawdust was already in her veins as they say, and her vocation was set. At 18, Meghan was the youngest certified female hardwood and softwood lumber inspector in the world and spent many years using those skills in various area sawmills. Once Rob started his own wholesale lumber company, Meghan joined the team a year later, starting in sales and accounting, and eventually moving up to ownership. These days, she can mostly be found sitting behind a computer screen, managing the day to day business operations of the company, but she still enjoys going out to flip a few boards every now and again.

Meghan enjoys reading, her dogs and running her daughter around. If you would like to reach out to Meghan, here is her contact information:

Rob Brewer
Rob Brewer
Rob started working with wood at the tender age of 14, nailing pallets. He quickly learned that wasn’t something he wanted to do forever, so when the owner of the company asked if anyone was interested in working down at the sawmill, Rob quickly jumped at the chance.

After graduating high school and serving his country in the US Army, Rob has held many positions within the forest products industry, including kiln operator, general manager, logger, lumber inspector and owner. These days you can typically find him in the grading shed, putting up orders of specialty Eastern White Pine and Southern Yellow Pine for our varied customers.

Rob is passionate about all things related to lumber, which doesn’t leave him with a lot of free time; however he enjoys classic cars, his family and Blues music. If you would like to reach out to Rob, here is his contact information:

Jim Krutiak
Jim Krutiak
Jim began his career as most of us do; working for his father’s logging company during summer vacation. His father purchased a sawmill and pallet shop and Jim‘s responsibilities soon increased. By the time he moved on to pursue other lumber industry experience, he had learned to sort logs, grade lumber and saw. For several years Jim enjoyed working with some of the most well-known lumber companies in the US and Canada as a lumber salesman. Jim’s passion is building and driving Hot Rods and Classic Cars, so he took a brief hiatus in 2009 to follow up on some long term dreams and work on rebuilding and customizing those old street cars. The love of working with his friends and colleagues in the lumber business was never far from his thoughts, so he began dabbling in some lumber trading again, which is how we came to offer him an opportunity to trade lumber for New Leaf.

Chris Chamberlain
Chris Chamberlain
Chris began his career in the forest products industry as a young teenager, working at a friend’s small mill. He graduated high school and continued in the lumber arena as a logger, focusing on logging with horses. During that time Chris also added a portable sawmill to be able to work during mud season. He used that tool to learn all he could about primary manufacturing which is what led him towards the lumber manufacturing side of the business. Eventually Chris made his mark as the operations manager for a very large flooring manufacturer, concentrating on old growth, reclaimed, and wide plank flooring.

Given his years of experience in the manufacturing field gives Chris an advantage when you place your orders with him. He knows the importance of price, lead times, and communication, and gathers great satisfaction from seeing an order through, start to finish.

Chris enjoys being outside through all four seasons that New England has to offer, spending time with his children, and gardening. If you would like to reach out to Chris, here is his contact information:
